I'm Still Here!

I can't believe it's been over a month since I last blogged! But, I guess when you don't have much of a life, there's not much to say :) Actually, I wanted to wait until I had a new belly picture, but somehow the card in our digital camera fried, so now we have to take a regular picture, get it developed, scan it and then post it. Hopefully, it will be soon.

In other news, Robert and I found out on Tuesday that we are having a girl! We were quite surprised! Everyone was sure it was a boy because Robert comes from a family of all boys (his sister is adopted). We can't wait to see what a "real" Crousse girl is like. As long as she takes after her mommy's size until after she's born! And that's not too far away - only 10 weeks to go! It's a little overwhelming. Sorry, a LOT overwhelming!!

We have the nursery furniture all in except for a rocking chair. I just have to say "HOKEY CRAP! " Rocking chairs are expensive! Especially since I have back problems. My chiropractor gave me a list of things to look for in my rocking chair. We may need a second mortgage on our house in order to afford one! Good grief! If anyone has any recommendations for where to find rocking chairs for a good price, please let me know!

Oh, by the way. If you get oral thrush while pregnant (or even if you're not and don't want to use drugs), eat lots of yogurt with active cultures or get this homeopathic stuff called 'acidophilus.' My thrush was gone in a matter of days! YAY!!!

hey Lori! Glad you updated :) Well that sounds like a fun surprise. Did you two pick out a girl name yet?

Maybe you could keep an eye out for rocking chairs at summer garage sales. You might find a gem. Or maybe older rocking chairs are the kind you're dr. isn't recommending :)

God bless

*gasp* I hope your sister in law doesn't read your blog. Re: your reference to "what a 'real' Crousse is like"

Rocking Chair: Not sure what your dr. is recommending. But, we got our glider and ottoman at Walmart. At the time we were in the states -it was 80.0 for the set - but since moving back to the area I've noticed the Walmart here periodically has the same set for just over 100.00. It has lasted us well for about 3 years. And if you are wanting one for really cheap, we are getting rid of ours (no need for a rocker since we've graduated to a big girl room)

Kristi,
I guess a better term would've been a 'biological' Crousse girl. Sorry!
In regards to the rocker, do you have any pictures of it or can I see it sometime?

I can take a digital pic of it for you if that helps. Where would I send it to - face book? Email?

I also saw in today's flyer a leather glider/recliner with matching ottoman for $129.99 at XS Cargo here in town. Here's the specs:
-fully padded seat, backrest & armrests
- 360 swivel and recline

Not sure it you want leather (or prob. faux leather) but it would be easy to wipe down after those inevitable spit ups and what not...

P.S. And yes, biological is a better word to use :)

Congratulations Lori!

Sorry Lynn and I haven't responded to your e-mail (of ages ago!) When we make it to Moncton, we find our time is never enough even to make it around visiting my family. We love being close to our family, and all of us want to make the most of it while we can. But I've found it difficult to have time for other friends in town...

Well, we'll just have to see what we can do. I'm sure it will relax as time goes on and we're finally settled in our own home.

Congratulations again, and I'll pray for your rocking-chair search!
